I saw this on the Today show....wouldn't my hubby LOVE it??!! My neighbors actually tried to do it for a month, and made it 20+ days without a "break", then continued successfully to their goal date! Very cool idea!
Well I think it's great that this couple wanted to get closer and found a deeper intimacy and began to care and touch each other more. I am a firm believer in coming together often I know intimacy is more than sex. I believe the number one thing husbands want is respect and women want to know they are loved and safe. (EPH 5:33) So I closing I think they're are many things to help strengthen marriages and sex can be one of them.
Great comments girls....I love it. I loved that article and would love to read the book that looks into "their relationship" and their journey while doing this. I believe couples have to be creative while working to keep the "spark" in our marriages. OK who is going to be the FIRST MAN to comment????????? Come on guys!
oh man i would be in heaven! Yea, i know i'm the one wanting it more than him. I wonder if i would have blisters down there! ouch! Hey i say anyone who has a husband home every night, let me know how it works! Connie
I say good for them!!!!!! I think that is great that they committed to that little exploration into their relationship together and actually carried it through. I am sure that there were days when he was thinking of the best way to lay out the new patio and she was thinking of what she needed to redecorate the bathroom in a tropical theme......"should I go with an orange rug....no, maybe rust.....or would green look better???? HMMMMMMM.........OH BABY I GOT IT!!!!!!!!!YEEELLLLOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!!! " At least they were doing something together and I bet they learned alot too. Kori
What did they do with their children, and when did they find time??? Our oldest no longer requires more sleep than us, so those after the children are asleep moments are all but gone. What is the name of the book?
101 days, I say thats just getting started, and who needs a month off? .....so there you have it the first male comment. You know when I saw this I had to show Laura, and I told her that this could become our bi-annual tradition, her only comment was "spoken like a true pig", I think she needs prayer. Cameron
Yay Cameron....YOU WIN THE PRIZE. Way to put it the MANLY way, lol. Laura should be so proud of her brave pig...I MEAN MAN, haha You know I really don't think you are a pig. Remember, I am the one that said I LOVED the article.
I think I'd have to claim some type of body malfunction of the monthly sort, lasting, oh, say, a MONTH. We don't have a door that locks in our house, 7+ kids, you walk thru our bedroom to get to Kat's- a night nurse in every night for the baby -need I say more? No, seriously, I think it would kill me. I'm not telling hubby, he might want to try it. Lord help me. I love the man, he loves me, I'm committed to avoiding it, he is committed to trying it, just like a healthy married couple should be. Seriously we cherish each other, that keeps us strong, doesn't have to be SEX.

I honestly just think that would be impossible. We can come up with other ways to draw our relationship closer than just having sex.

Okay, I love chocolate but not every single day for three months!
There are lots of ways to keep intimacy alive and sexual intercourse is great but it's just one of many things healthy happy couples engage in.
